MIST is a patented thin-film surface treatment which acts to inhibit coke formation in refinery heating tubes and retard metal sulfidation. This action can reduce down-time, slow erosion, increase throughput, improve safety, result in a cleaner, "greener" operation.

C2's exclusive right to the use of MIST technology places it in a unique position to reduce refinery equipment shutdowns. In regard to delayed cokers, it can increase cycle times by unprecedented multiples, achieving significant cost savings for oil refiners.

C2 uses applied engineering techniques to move its MIST thin-film treatments from laboratory to the refinery site. The Company’s research, development and product commercialization is based upon patent rights available to C2 under an exclusive license from C3 International, LLC.. The Company’s business model is to generate revenue by applying its coatings at the refinery site, utilizing a service provider to assist C2 in pigging and polishing the tubes prior to treating them with MIST.
